Walk and Talks
The Cavendish Community and Conservation Association (CCCA) believes that our town’s greatest assets are its history and its natural environment. Our “Walk & Talks” and Lecture series are designed to bring neighbors together to explore both. From guided hikes through our fields and forests to indoor presentations on Cavendish history, wildlife, and sustainability, these events offer a chance to learn from local experts and one-time visitors alike. Whether we are in the woods, the library or the town hall, our goal is to foster a deeper appreciation for the place we call home.
What to expect: Our Walk and Talks feature family-friendly outings led by engaging guest speakers, followed by open Q&A sessions to dive deeper into each topic. Since we will be exploring local outdoor habitats, we recommend wearing long pants and applying repellent for tick prevention. Be sure to perform a thorough tick check once you return home to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Stay Informed: Keep an eye on our calendar below for upcoming dates and topics. Get involved: If you have a deep interest in our natural environment, consider joining us to find new presentations to offer in the future.
