Green Up Day
Keeping Cavendish Clean.
As a town, we take pride in our scenic roads and waterways. Every May, Cavendish joins the rest of the state for Vermont Green Up Day—a massive, community-wide effort to clear roadside litter and keep our environment pristine.
The CCCA helps the Town of Cavendish to coordinate the local effort, providing Green Up bags and organizing pickup routes to ensure every corner of our town gets some attention. It’s a day of hard work, but the result is a town we can all be proud of.
How to Participate: Pick up your green bags at the Town Office or on Green Up Day itself on the Proctorsville green and choose a route. Gloves and instructions will be provided
Community Spirit: Join us at the end of the day to celebrate a job well done on the Proctorsville Green.

Green Up Day
8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
You can sign up now for Cavendish Green-Up Day and claim your road in the entry of the Cavendish Town Office—The door is open 24/7. Sign up by April 15th and get a Green Up T-Shirt! Or meet up on the Proctorsville Green, Saturday May 2 between 8:30 and 10:30 am.
We will meet back on the Green for a cook out and drinks from 11:30 to 1:00 pm. Keep returnables in a separate bag and bring them back to the Green. They will go to the non-profits Streetscapes and the CCCA.
